Hey folks,

If you’ve been following this blog closely, as I know so many of you have, you may have noticed I haven’t written anything new in a while. That’s because I realized the scope of my project was far too large to finish it in time to take the test I was preparing for. I had to scrap my work on it for a while and put my nose to the books for a couple weeks to make sure I passed. Well, I took the test last week and while I won’t find out how I did for another 6 weeks, I think it went pretty well. So, now I’m going to continue working on the blog. There will be some diversions from the material covered by the WSET, most notably in the beginning of April when Jess (my wife) and I will be going to the Alsace region of France. We’re planning several winery visits, and I will of course have my camera with me, so I’m hoping to bring back many images to help illustrate some of the concepts I’ve been discussing here. And now, back to Bordeaux!
